The Freeway Junky Tee is a meditation on Los Angeles car culture, not the cinematic version of convertibles gliding down the Pacific Coast Highway, but the reality of crawling traffic and endless concrete. We spend our lives looping the same oversized streets, gridlocked instead of demanding walkable neighborhoods or human-scale transit. Are we free, or are we freeway junkies? Cut in a slim, cropped silhouette from heavyweight cotton jersey knit at a vertical mill in Los Angeles, each tee is tie-dyed and distressed at a local wash house, then hand-stenciled and spray painted at our Koreatown based studio.
