The Russian Military Double Panel Pants reinterpret a pair of antique Russian military trousers sourced from the flea markets of Paris. The original utilitarian construction is recreated in 12 oz. Cone Denim Mills selvedge bull denim, bringing an American workwear fabric to a distinctly Old World military silhouette.
Unlike the rigid canvas traditionally associated with double-panel carpenter pants, the denim is specially washed and treated to create a soft hand and relaxed drape, making the substantial construction unexpectedly comfortable to wear. Each pair is then painted by hand to create a dirty, antiqued finish, building layers of wear and irregularity into the fabric without waiting decades for them to appear naturally.
Made entirely in Los Angeles, the result sits somewhere between military surplus, American workwear, and a very lucky flea market find.
